This is a render that I have been working on over the past couple of days - when I've managed to find the time to devote to it that is. Anyway, onto the specs =D
Original Size: 3620*2715
Render time: 12 hours, 46 minutes and 51 seconds (used a different computer this time.. next time... I'll know better!!)
Terrain: Flojoa2.. which can be found here: [link]

Wanted a kind of "dreamy" feel to the atmo on this one.. which I think I got it right... but you can never be too sure I guess. But I'm happy enough with it. Added a bit of snow to the mountain on the right. I kinda like this one :nod:

I love this one. The angle of the camera is awesome, as is the atmosphere color.

You using the new version of Terragen?

No, still using the old version of terragen. This one suits me better as the little 3D preview box in the new ver used to cause my computer to crash ^^;

Yeah,

Others have different experiences with the new Terragen. the 3D Preview doesn't really cause any problems for me at all. And really, I find using the 3D Preview window to angle the camera how I want it so much easier than the way I used to set the camera angle:nod:

Still i think this is my favorite image that i have seen in your gallery to date :)

As much as i look i cant find a fault with this one. A wonderful piece and i cant believe that you were able to pull off such a high altitude shot here. Wonderful piece :)

Aww thanks :hug:

It's difficult with atmos - too much of one think makes it look dark - too much of something else makes it look too bright. I guess it's all down to balancing it all out. Plus, I guess it doesn't help matters much that I spend more time on the atmo than anything else (Excluding rendering of course)

The atmo on this one took me 3 hours to get it just right :)

See, I don't know how to make mine turn out like yours. I really like how yours are dark, but not too dark. I mean, how on earth do you do that? :O_o:

well, I use a lot of the gamma correction option in render controls. Mine are typically rendered between 1.2 and 1.75 from the normal range.

And I also play around with the atmospheric controls - see what colours look good in the atmo. That kind of thing.

Oh, I see. I never mess with the gamma correction...guess I should give it a try, eh?
