Terragen 09.043 Flojoa_2 terrain at 2049 Eon-Print Size resource by `hameed Over 6 hours rendering, original size at 3250 x 2050 Texture overlay used for the beach sand All edits done in PS CS3 ---------------------------------------- I really apologise that my uploads seem few and far between. My interest in devantART seems to be waning slightly. Anyway, here's a new wallpaper for you to enjoy. Might be susceptible to further edits. ---------------------------------------- *Edit* 29th May, 2009 Changed the shoreline - should look slightly better now and the water shouldn't look like it's "floating" or that's the hope at least. Over 11 hours of rendering now involved.

Tropic of Cancer by =Ladyofspira No one can go wrong with a sunset as a background, but this is a great 3D render! It's extremely realistic!" (

Nice overall feeling! The only thing i have noticed is that considering the position of the light source the planet should be darker as it hides from it. Just think of the light source, the planet and the viewer and their real position in 3D. Is like with the moon during a solar eclipse, you can see a really shiny ring and the rest shadow.
Everything looks amazingly real, so all my respects to you and your hard work! I think you have the patience of a saint! Hope you can see my point and don't take it personally. Great work Cheers
Beautiful composition as always. We had a collaboration with Ladyofspira before and I asked her for it just because I love her way of using camera point of view and overall scene design. Here you can see once again using simple elements to create a beautiful scene. Which is very similar with real world. Less elements - but more detail in each.
However there are things I need to critique. Wispy clouds always look great on sunsets you don't need any more detail. But island looks too much simple even for a silhouette. When you move your eyes to the water you'll be impressed by the detail and realism of it. Especially the reflection of the sun is the most realistic one I've seen for a long time. You may noticed the spreading of the light from the center to the outside of the reflection area just like in the real world.
When it comes to shore line it loses all the realism because currently water looks like it's hovering over the shore. It would be great if it looks like it's moving back with the tide and leaving wet sand behind.
Other than it's always a great pleasure to see new works from you and looking forward for more.
